Queen Bee

Once upon a time, there lived a young woman named Tara. She was a quite ordinary girl, but it was her eyes that drew attention. She was known throughout the village for her kind heart and gentle soul, but Tara felt overshadowed by her more beautiful and outspoken friends who seemed to effortlessly command attention.

One day, while wandering through the meadow, Tara noticed a little bee flying from one flower to another. After a while, it flew away. Tara, who was ever so curious, followed it to its next destination. To her surprise, she stumbled upon a giant nest of bees.

Surprised and a bit frightened, Tara stepped back. But one bee in particular caught her attention. It was larger and thinner than most of the other bees. It seemed to be at the centre of their attention.

Tara who was desperate to learn how to draw the attention of others and be a leader, watched the bee until it was becoming so dark she couldn’t see anything anymore.

Back home she thought about her experience with the bees. The one who was taller and thinner than the rest wasn’t loud or commanding attention like some of her friends. She was at the centre of attention, but she naturally seemed to draw it to herself without doing anything to earn it, just by being herself. And all the other bees showed her the importance of teamwork and cooperation.

Tara always cared deeply for others and wanted to nurture them and their surroundings. Her encounter with the bees had given Tara the strength to organize her friends to help tend to the village gardens. To make the gatherings fun and joyful, she asked some villagers to bake some cakes and make music. Everybody noticed the change in Tara’s behaviour. She radiated confidence and people enjoyed being in her surroundings.

But not everyone was pleased with this change. One of her friends grew jealous of the attention she got and spread some vicious rumours about Tara. Unfortunately a lot of people believed her and turned their back on Tara.

One day, a dark cloud rolled into the meadow, and with it came a drought that threatened the village’s crops. The villagers turned to Tara’s former friend and asked her what to do. The friend, who wasn’t really interested in the people or the village turned her back on them and went looking for a new place to live. Panic spread among the villagers, and Tara didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know if the villagers would listen to her.

She started gathering her close friends in the town square. ‘We need to find a solution together!’ she said, her voice steady and warm. Together they shared resources, sought solutions for conserving water, and organized a schedule to nurture the garden. The other villagers, who saw Tara’s leadership, decided to join them and soon everyone followed Tara’s warm guidance.

As the days passed, the first rain was greeted with joy and excitement. The flowers bloomed brightly and Tara stood at the heart of the square, surrounded by grateful villagers.

Tara knew from that moment on that she had found her strength. She was not just a kind young woman; she was a leader, a queen in her own right.

And so, Tara embraced her inner power as the Queen Bee of her meadow, nurturing her community with love and compassion.
